Predicting Every NFL Team's 2021 Starting QB in One Sentence or Less

I'm going to be honest, I thought I was only going to do this last year. However, I noticed that people REALLY wanted me to do the Every Team's QB in One Sentence or Less thing again. This is especially true considering the names that are rumored to be out on the market this year. Do I think there will be some movement? Yes. Despite this, I do not believe that every name that's out on the block is going to change their destination. Here we go, 2021's Every NFL Team's Starting QB in One Sentence or Less.

AFC East:

Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen. Allen was an MVP favorite for much of the season, Buffalo isn't gonna change what works.

Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa. The Hawaiian starts a majority of the snaps for Miami this year without Fitzmagic.

New England Patriots: Jimmy Garoppolo. It would not cost much for San Francisco to part ways with Jimmy G, and Bill Belichick never wanted to trade him to begin with.

New York Jets: Deshaun Watson. The Jets have something that no other team does in a potential Watson trade: the number 2 pick.

AFC North:

Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson. Despite a step back, Baltimore isn't letting Jackson fly away.

Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow. I expect Burrow to be back and healthy by Week One of next season after a nasty injury.

Cleveland Browns: Baker Mayfield. He led the Browns to the playoffs, so he's locked in for multiple years on that feat alone.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben agreed to restructure his contract so he can have one more shot at a 3rd Super Bowl ring.

AFC South:

Houston Texans: Andy Dalton. Dalton will serve as a stopgap to a draft pick, whether it be Justin Fields or Zach Wilson.

Indianapolis Colts: Carson Wentz. Chris Ballard and company did not make the trade last month so that Wentz could sit behind someone else.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence. The long blond hair of the number one pick will find his way to Florida, who's needed a franchise quarterback for years.

Tennessee Titans: Ryan Tannehill. Kudos to Tannehill for getting a nice payday after a stellar 2019 season.

AFC West:

Denver Broncos: Drew Lock. Lock gets one more chance in Denver, this time with a healthy offense.

Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes. I mean, come on.

Las Vegas Raiders: Derek Carr. General Manager Mike Mayock stated that Carr is a top 15 quarterback in the league, showing his confidence in the 2014 second rounder.

Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert. The Offensive Rookie of the Year gets the starting gig from Week One next season.

NFC East:

Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott. The 2 time Pro Bowler finally got the long term contract he was seeking, so he's going to be there for a while.

New York Giants: Daniel Jones. Jones was average last season, and it appears the Giants are expecting him to take a step or two forward in 2021.

Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Hurts. It's Jalen's team now, as the Eagles are now led by another mobile quarterback.

Washington Football Team: Mac Jones. Only the second rookie to start Week One, Jones will have Taylor Henicke backing him up if things go awry.

NFC North:

Chicago Bears: Nick Foles. Trubisky goes off to greener pastures as the Bears try their quarterback luck again with the Super Bowl LII MVP.

Detroit Lions: Jared Goff. The Matthew Stafford-Jared Goff swap was interesting, and Goff is making too much money to sit on the bench.

Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers. Despite Jordan Love waiting in the wings, Rodgers was a league MVP last year, and he's the Packers best chance at another Lombardi.

Minnesota Vikings: Kirk Cousins. Kirk even got a contract extension last season, and despite the Vikings shortcomings, he played at a decent level.

NFC South:

Atlanta Falcons: Matt Ryan. There's rumors about a QB switch in Atlanta, but even with the 4th overall pick, Matty Ice starts out of the gate.

Carolina Panthers: Teddy Bridgewater. I expect a quarterback to fall to Carolina in the draft, but Bridgewater is the guy that takes the snaps Week One.

New Orleans Saints: Jameis Winston. The Saints are in cap trouble, and with Drew Brees' future uncertain, Famous Jameis will get the starting gig on a cheap contract.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tom Brady. If I had the opportunity to, I'd start the seven time Super Bowl Champion as well.

NFC West

Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray. I was highly impressed with Murray's work last year, and I'm excited to see what he can do in Year 3.

Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford. LA is hoping Stafford can be the answer at quarterback that they have been looking for.

San Francisco 49ers: Sam Darnold. The Niners swing a trade for the Jets starter, and he should be a perfect fit in Shanahan's offense.

Seattle Seahawks: Russell Wilson. Stop with the rumors and trade speculation, Russ is not going anywhere in 2021.

There you have it, my quarterback carousel for the 2021 NFL season. There are a lot of options for teams to draft their QB of the future, and there's a somewhat decent amount of free agents that can be temporary starters. Did I get it right? Which ones did I whiff with? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below. Also, I do plan on doing my annual Mock Draft next month once free agency winds down, so keep an eye on that. It's only been a month, and I'm already missing football dearly.
