2025 NFL Mock Draft: Colorado Stars and Defensive Stalwarts Head to Titletown

I've done mock drafts for the past several years now, and each one feels a little different. Last year's felt like it centered on the quarterbacks and the picks that revolved around them. I remember 2021's was difficult because of how much the COVID pandemic impacted the 2020 season, and it was a much different sample size for each of the prospects. While writing this mock draft, I frequently asked myself a question that I've never asked before while writing any of my mock drafts: how will the 2025 NFL Draft be remembered?      If you ask the teams that are making these selections, they're in love with this year's class. Wanna know why? Not a single team has traded their first-round pick in this year's draft, so that has to speak some sort of volume. If you scroll through this list, you will not see the words "from ____" in any of the headlines below. The fact that every team in the NFL thought there would be some prospect in this first round ...

Predicting every 2025 Week One Starting QB in One Sentence or Less

It's, somehow, that time of year again.      A new batch of quarterbacks is entering the annual carousel. While it might not be the most enticing group since I started this series a number of years back, there are still some difference makers. Yes, you have your headliners of Sam Darnold, Matt Stafford, and Aaron Rodgers, but other signal callers will be headed to new destinations within the next few days. This also doesn't factor in the upcoming draft, where the two-headed monster of Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders will be hearing their names called, knowing where they will be spending the start of their NFL careers.       I'm not going to say that I'm 100% confident where each quarterback will end up. I never am. With that said, like a jigsaw puzzle, I'm going to try and piece where each one decides to call home. Last year went rather well for me, so let's see if I can top that with the 2025 edition of Every Week One Starting Q...

2024 NFL Mock Draft: The Motor City Hosts the Best QB Class in Years

These intros are getting tougher and tougher to do.     The NFL Draft has become the launching point for Super Bowl contenders. Four years ago, the Bengals had the worst record in football. Two years later, they were in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have won back-to-back Lombardis after drafting Patrick Mahomes 10th overall in 2017. The Ravens have become contenders on the back of their first round picks, and the Eagles have been able to rebuild their defense thanks to their strong drafts.     However, the draft also has its risks. We're still waiting to see if the Carolina Panthers made the right call by trading up for Bryce Young, last year's first overall pick. This year, with a handful of quarterbacks available in the first round, could we see another team make that jump? It's very possible, although the cost could be quite high.      It's time to look through the college ranks once again, as I make my annual mock draft. ...

Predicting Every 2024 Week One Starting QB in One Sentence or Less

2024 is a huge year for the signal caller. Not only are there several solid starters that may find new homes, but the 2024 NFL Draft is one of the best drafts for quarterbacks in quite some time. While draft season is still a few weeks away, the time for free agency is just around the corner. We're seven days away from the start of legal tampering, and that means the free agents are on the verge of making decisions that may not only change their careers, but change the league as well. Names like Chris Jones, Kirk Cousins, L'Jarius Sneed, Baker Mayfield, Christian Wilkins, and others are on the market.       When it comes to the Cousins and Mayfields of the group, 2024 could look a little different. It's been a yearly tradition to predict each team's quarterback for Week One about a week before free agency begins, and this year is no exception. Even though some picks are slam dunks, others are not as much. It's time to start the season off right wi...

2023 NFL Mock Draft: A Cornerback and Wide Receiver Heavy Group Heads to Kansas City

This probably goes without saying, but I love the NFL Draft. Every year, countless NFL fans and analysts try to judge each little move to try and figure out what will happen the evening of April 26, and more often than not, the football world tends to surprise us. Who could have seen the Carolina Panthers jump all the way up to pick number one? It is almost guaranteed that more twists and turns will be seen over the next several days and weeks. My mock draft is getting released a little bit later than last year for several reasons. The first is the unknown status of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. The 2019 NFL MVP is in the midst of a contract dispute, and it is unknown whether he will suit up for the franchise, even after the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. Second, the third overall pick has generated quite a bit of trade buzz over the past few weeks. Whether or not the Arizona Cardinals will actually be picking third is still up in the air. With that said, here's my ann...
